West Indies Enter Super Eights Twenty20 World Cup in SL


The West Indies qualified for the Super Eights of the icc twenty20 world cup in srilanka after rain Group B match against Ireland was abandoned due to rain on Monday and the West Indies won the toss chose to field first for the both teams having lost their first game in the tournament, this was a must-win encounter and ireland  start a innings Irish captain William Porterfield was dismissed off the first ball of the match for the second time in a row, bowled by Fidel Edwards and final ireland 129-6 in their 19 overs before heavy rain.

The Duckworth-Lewis method West Indies could have been set a target of just 44 in five overs with all of their wickets intact and the no-result for the second World T20 running, after they were denied the chance to beat England by the weather in Guyana in 2010.
