Sydney Sixers 2012 Champions League Twenty20 Champions


The sydney sixers skipper has attributed their championship win to their 'outstanding' preparations right throughout the tournament and the sydney beat against Lions team by 10 wickets in the final to clinch the cash rich 2012 Champions League Twenty20 tournament in Johannesburg on Sunday and the preparation for this game was outstanding to we have been building for the win for two weeks to we were nervous before the semifinals but we played very good cricket as a team.

The sydney sixes won the toss chose to field first and lion team start gulam bodi smashed the off-spinner for a six off the third ball of the match and the Bodi, de Kock and McKenzie had all thrown their wickets away to careless and reckless batting and the O'Keefe then dismissed the Lions captain, Alviro Petersen in the 4th over score a miserable 10/4 all rounder performances for the Jean Symes was fighting 51 runs off 46 deliveries and Lions 121 all out for 20 overs.


And the Sydney Sixers innings target for 122 runs from 20 overs and the Dirk nannes and Sohail bowled well early on and the breathtaking unbeaten 124 run opening partnership between Michael Lumb 82 runs off 42 deliveries and skipper Haddin played a good supportive role as captain with a fine 37 off 33 balls and the Sixers kept a clean slate in the tournament winning six out of six and were the deserved champions and Michael Lumb is the man of the match and Mitchell Starc has Man of the Series award.

The 2012 Champions League Twenty20 Qualifying Second match for Auckland vs Sialkot Stallions for the New zealand face bowlier Kyle Mills starred with a ball bowling an outstanding spell Mills gave away just 6 runs off his 4 overs and he also picking up 2 wickets to help restrict the Stallions to 130/9 and the Anaru Kitchen hit important knocks as the Auckland Aces thrashed the Sialkot Stallions to win by 6 wickets and Martin Guptill played 40 runs off 32 balls while Kitchen 33 runs off 21 balls and he finished off in style to help the Aces win with 17 balls to spare and give them a big chance of going through to the next stage and winning runs to help NZ win in 17 balls remaining and Anaru Kitchen finished the match with a six.

The Sialkot Stallions toss win to bat first the Sialkot Stallions poor start lost of first wicket very quickly Shakeel Ansar in the second over of the innings and next over by sending back the dangerous Imran Nazir and Azhar Mahmood first over for 18 run for the all round batsmen Shaoib Malik smashed 2 sixes in the 13th over but, the last 2 overs saw 3 wickets falling while just scoring 11 runs as Stallions put on a sub-par 130/9.

The target for 151 runs from 20 overs Yorkshire innings start for Phil Jaques and Andrew Gale to a fear start before Senanayake got rid of the latter for 13 and yorkshire needed 30 off the last 3 overs and the all-round performance rashid smacked Umar Gul for 2 consecutive boundaries off the first 2 deliveries of the 18th over and the england 18 were needed of the final 2 overs for the munaweera for 4,6,4 off consecutive balls to seal the match for Yorkshire won by 5 wickets with 3 balls remaining for Adil Rashid 36 run off 30 deliveries for his solid all-round performance and he made his best Twenty20 score as he guided Yorkshire chase and david miller struck four fours and a six in his match-winning innings.
